Sandy holds a B.S. in chemistry from Georgetown University and a J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law Evening Program, where she graduated as valedictorian in May of 2020. Sandy has more than 25 years of regulatory science work experience in the agricultural crop protection industry. Sandy returned to law school to pursue her dream of applying her pragmatic critical thinking skills to bear on the legal issues facing individuals.
Sandy has a particular interest in social justice and civil rights. While in law school, Sandy earned a Certificate in Civil Rights and Constitutional Law and had the opportunity to extern at the Southern Environmental Law Center working on environmental justice issues. In addition, Sandy served as the Environmental Justice Editor of the North Carolina Central University Environmental Law Review and is a published author in this journal.
