“Imagine Schools is a national nonprofit network of pre-K-12 charter schools that prepares students for lives of leadership, achievement, and character.”
Raising your child is the most wonderful, challenging, and rewarding job in the world. At Imagine Schools, they believe that parents and guardians are the primary educators of their children. Imagine Schools’ professionals are committed to assisting and collaborating with you in carrying out that responsibility. Their aim is to help you and your family by establishing and running high-quality public charter schools. All Imagine public charter schools are tuition-free and open to all children.
They offer a high-quality educational program and moral development to families in a safe, nurturing learning environment. They set high standards for our students, staff, and leaders. They assess themselves using Measures of Excellence (parent choice and satisfaction, adherence to shared values, academic achievement, positive character development, economic sustainability, and new school development) that we believe define a successful school. They hold themselves to the same standards that we hold our students to.
They understand that the participation of family members always improves a child’s educational experience. As a result, they encourage all parents and guardians to be involved in the school’s life and to actively assist their children in becoming successful students.
When you walk onto an Imagine campus, you will see well-dressed students in uniform with their heads held high and confident postures. You will come across parents who have gathered in a parent resource room to discuss school-related projects, volunteers who are reading with small groups of students, and others who are hanging signs to promote upcoming events.
Enrolling your child in an Imagine School lays the groundwork for a lifetime of success. In a small class setting, they combine personal attention, inspirational teaching, a proprietary integrated curriculum, and technologically advanced instruction.
New Student Enrollment
If your child is not currently attending Imagine Schools at East Mesa and you are interested in having him/her do so, please complete the application found below. Upon approval, instructions to complete the registration process will be emailed to you.
Returning Student Re-Enrollment
All students currently attending Imagine Schools and intending to return for the 2021-2022 school year will be emailed re-enrollment information in January. Once accepted, students need not reapply annually. He/she will be enrolled in all subsequent grades.
Prior to the first day of school, a lottery date is set. On that date, the number of students enrolled and pre-enrolled in each grade is compared to the number of available seats. If there are more applicants than available spaces, a lottery will be used to determine which of the pre-enrolled students will be admitted at random. The remaining candidates will be added to a waiting list. Enrollments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for grades that are not oversubscribed.
Imagine Schools admits students of any race, religion, color, gender, physical handicap, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available at our schools. Preference is given to siblings of enrolled students and children of Imagine Schools’ employees.
Imagine Schools Standards-Based Curriculum
Imagine Schools has created a curriculum that directs teachers and students toward the high level of learning that is expected in today’s world. This procedure is followed whenever lessons and assessments are planned. It describes the curriculum and, in conjunction with the Imagine Schools School Design Model, establishes the parameters for effective teaching and learning in the classroom. The curriculum reflects the best thinking of educators, as well as the perspectives of business and community members on the needs of students in a global society.
The curriculum is distinguished by demanding academic standards that result in high achievement for all students. At each grade level, standards are clearly articulated, building on a solid content foundation in each academic subject. Students build on prior knowledge with a spiraled thematic curriculum that emphasizes inquiry and project-based applications of key concepts and universal ideas. Instructional practices vary to ensure that teachers meet the needs of students with a variety of learning styles.
The curriculum offers world-class learning opportunities to students and teachers, with a focus on the following:
- Learner centered results
- Authentic and challenging materials and activities
- Critical thinking and creative problem solving
- Technology as a learning tool
- A hands-on, minds-on approach to learning
- Personal and global perspectives
- Reflection and exchange of ideas
- Interdisciplinary thematic units
